The basic approach towards the film was like a B-grade commercial movie which is remade from a Kannada hit. When an actor like Balakrishna is standing, it requires a very strong villain to counter his strength. Here again, the director could just provide few actors as opponents but with hardly any character or the vengeance. Due to this, the conflict graph was zero and the action adrenaline came down drastically. On a whole music and background score made the film tasteless. Of course, the makers might give covering that the film went through a lot of hiccups financially and otherwise and that’s why the final product came out like this. But after looking at the film, one gets a feeling that due to the poor output only the film was lying in the cans since long..Bottomline: Outdated masala

The film is unabashedly about Balayya, who is the centre of it and calls all the shots. His fans will love it, but others will find this hackneyed theme of good versus evil, or a man fighting for the betterment of his people, less than appealing. At some points one felt the director was not certain what he wanted to do or tell. Nothing stands out in the cinematography or editing. On the whole the film looks like a kitschy mosaic. Watch the film if you are a fan.

Overall 1st half is above average with some comedy, romance, a couple of massive fights and other commercial elements.First half reveals the key roles and story is set up well for second half. On flipside, some not so impressive scenes disturb the mood of the film. This is a commercial emotional flick with political and faction backdrop, which might appeal to Nandamuri fans just like the film Dhammu. As the film is on Political backdrop, this bi-election season might fetch good response for this flick. Though this flick in no way meets the range of Simha, it has some good commercial elements to pull the mass audience and some emotional and family sentiment to pull family audience. Though some scenes came out very well, this film has the capability of becoming only above average. Overall, this film might strike the right chord of Nandamuri fans and B, C centres audience only!

Adhinayakudu has a decent storyline, but the screenplay is dead weak. The director doesn’t have any clue about where to start and where to end it. First half starts on an ordinary note and moves ahead with unnecessary scenes in the name of mass entertainment. On a whole, Adhinayakudu lacks the spine and spice to be a powerful mass entertainer. Except for few dialogues nothing stands out.Adhinayakudu may appeal to Balakrishna fans as he was seen in three different getups. There were few dialogues that were written keeping them in mind. So fans would pass off this as a decent film. But the film has nothing to offer for other sections of audience.
